Terms of Service

1Who We Are
Abrasor ("Abrasor", "we", "us") is a grinding calculation and advisory service available at abrasor.com and in the Abrasor mobile apps. Abrasor is operated by Dolev Best, a sole trader registered in Israel, trading as Abrasor.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Abrasor website, web app, mobile apps, calculators, AI advisor and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2Payments
Subscriptions are sold by Abrasor and paid through PayPal. PayPal charges your PayPal account or card on each renewal date; we never see or store your card details. PayPal's User Agreement applies to your use of PayPal.
You can cancel at any time in the app (Plans & billing) or in your PayPal account under Automatic payments. Billing questions and refunds are handled by us at info@abrasor.com.
3Accounts
- You must give accurate information when you register and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.
- If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that company.
4Plans and Subscriptions
Abrasor offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices and what each includes are listed on our Pricing page.
- BillingPaid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, as chosen at checkout. Prices are shown in US dollars and are charged through PayPal.
- Automatic renewalSubscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled.
- CancellationYou can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Plan changesWhen you switch plans, the unused part of your current period is credited. On an upgrade you pay the difference right away; on a downgrade any surplus is refunded to your PayPal account. The amounts are shown before you confirm.
- Price changesWe will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Usage limitsEach plan includes a monthly allowance of AI queries and other limits as listed on the Pricing page. Unused allowance does not roll over.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5Engineering Results and Safety
Abrasor's calculators, wheel speed checks, setup sheets and AI recommendations are tools to support qualified people. They are not a substitute for professional judgement, the machine manufacturer's instructions, or the grinding wheel manufacturer's markings and limits.
- Always verify results before use, and never exceed the maximum operating speed marked on a grinding wheel or the limits of your machine.
- Follow applicable safety standards and workplace rules, including wheel mounting, guarding and ring testing.
- AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for checking them before acting on them.
6Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, while using the Service;
- try to access other users' data, probe or disrupt our systems, or get around usage limits or security measures;
- scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content, or use it to build a competing product;
- share your account with others or resell access to it;
- upload malicious code or content that is unlawful or abusive.
7Your Content
You keep ownership of the data you enter, such as saved calculations, machines, wheels and setup sheets. You give us permission to store and process it only to run and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you share a setup sheet by link, anyone with that link can view it.
8Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, calculators, design, text and the Abrasor name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. They do not transfer any ownership to you.
9Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription.
10Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Abrasor accurate and available, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that results will be suitable for a particular purpose.
11Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost production, scrapped parts or damaged equipment, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using the Service after the changes apply, you accept the updated Terms.
13Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may also bring claims in the courts where they live, and keep any mandatory protections of their local law.
