Why Abrasor exists.
Grinding knowledge is scattered across maker catalogues, old charts and the memory of whoever has run the machine the longest.
The software that does exist mostly comes from wheel makers, so it recommends their own wheels. Calculators sit in one app, the setup notes in a notebook, and the reason a job burned last month is in nobody's records. Abrasor puts the calculations, an independent wheel advisor and the shop's own history in one place that works at the machine.
Abrasor was founded in 2025 by Dolev Best, an applications engineer with eight years in cutting tools and abrasives. The aim: replace manual guesswork with calculations, independent advice and the shop's own data, on the device already in the machinist's pocket.

What Abrasor will always do.
Four rules the product is built on. They are why the advisor, the calculators and the AI work the way they do.
Stay independent
No wheel maker can pay to rank. Options are ordered by technical fit, and sponsored cards are labelled and kept outside the ranking.
Show the source
Every recommendation says why it was chosen and where the rule came from. Designations are never invented, and unverified ones are marked.
Work on the shop floor
Offline, in bright light and with gloves on. Metric or imperial, in English, Hebrew, German, Spanish and French.

Dolev leads applications at NOGA Machine Tools, supporting its deburring and finishing tools in markets including the US, Japan and India. Before that: international sales engineer at Camel Grinding Wheels, and six years as an application engineer at ISCAR. Trained in mechanical engineering.
